I was so happy to attend the Plantation Toastmasters meeting. This group is dedicated to improving their communication skills why supporting each other in a positive way. They were very generous in awarding me the tabletop presentation award. If you don’t know about Toastmasters, do yourself a favor and look them up. Just attend a meeting and you’ll come away with a great understanding of your community. The two-hour session honed participants’ communication skills through practice, constructive feedback, and encouragement. Washington, DC could use that same formula! Individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills coming together to lift each other up…what a great way to build a community!
